6. Ince's Paradise Flycatcher (Terpsiphone incei) one pair seen

17th May.

Eastern Hoopoe (Upupa epops saturata) four seen on the island

on 1st May, one pair nested on mainland.

8. Turnstone (Arenaria interpres interpres) a flock on the island

on 23rd May.

9. Grey Headed Thrush (Turdus obscurus obscurus) a few seen

on 18th May for a few days.

10. Japanese Brown Thrush (Turdus chrysolaus) a few seen in the

woods on 18th May.

South China White-eye (Zosterops simplex simplex) a flock of

20 seen on the mainland 24th August.

North China Crested Lark (Galerida cristata leautungensis)

plentiful, nesting at Wei-hai-wei.

13. North China Sand Lark (Alaudula minor cheleensis) common,

nesting at Wei-haiwei.

14. Grey Headed Black-faced Bunting (Emberiza spodocephala

spodocephala) a flock seen on 20th August.

15. Eastern Nightjar (Caprimulgus indicus jotaka) 6th May in a

wooded part of the island.
